This one module interactive course is for all school staff working in international schools to give an overview of how to provide good pastoral care to students.
The course outlines what pastoral care is, the positive impact of good pastoral care on students’ welfare and progress, the roles and responsibilities of pastoral teams in international schools at each level, the pastoral importance of considering cultural differences and inclusivity, and a whole school approach to good pastoral practice.
Reflective questions throughout the course offer learners additional opportunities to think about the critical significance of pastoral care and consider how they use put it into practice.
A questionnaire at the end of this course will test your knowledge, and the pass mark is 70%. Upon your successful completion of ‘An Induction to Pastoral Care in International Schools’, you can download a personalised certificate. The completed course equates to 1 CPD credit.
There is optional narration of the course and questionnaire for accessibility, as well as a printable module for future reference.
