EduCare announces partnership with The Children’s Society

EduCare work with a wide range of subject experts who play a key role in contributing to, reviewing and endorsing our training. This ensures our courses are always accurate, up-to-date and of the highest quality.

We are delighted to announce a new partnership with The Children’s Society to create two new courses.

Modern Slavery online training course

The first course to be created and released covers modern slavery and trafficking.

This course has been created in response to growing concern over criminal exploitation and the increase in the practice of ‘county lines’ - where gangs and organised crime networks exploit children to sell drugs. It also follows several high-profile cases of modern slavery in this country.

We will also be developing a course on Serious Youth Violence following multiple requests from our education customers, many of whom needed more support to deal with increasing instances of knife crime.

Speaking about the partnership, Dawn Jotham, EduCare’s Pastoral Care specialist commented:

“We are thrilled to be working with The Children’s Society on these new courses as their experience and understanding of these key issues is unparalleled. The content they have provided is profound and will have a great deal of impact with our customers.”

Children and Young People Director at The Children’s Society, Dara de Burca continued:

“We want anyone who works with young people to recognise the signs of criminal exploitation and ensure these vulnerable children are seen as victims.  By providing content for EduCare to use in their online courses we are able to reach a broad audience and provide the most up-to-date information and guidance.  This in turn means professionals can support young people that have been exploited and make sure they are offered the help they so desperately need.”

EduCare and The Children’s Society’s online course on Modern Slavery and Trafficking is due for release in the Spring of 2019 and will be included within all of EduCare’s training course packages, which means EduCare’s existing customers will automatically be able to access content at no extra cost. The course on Serious Youth Violence will be released in the summer.
