New online training course developed with the Early Years Nutrition Partnership
The Early Years Nutrition Partnership (EYN Partnership) is working to improve the future health outcomes of young children by setting a standard for nutrition practice in early years settings.
They have provided new content for a training course that we have developed for Early Years providers and members of the Pre-school Learning Alliance.
New training course - Providing a Healthy Food Environment in Early Years Settings
The new course looks at the nutritional fundamentals for children aged one to four.
It uses the Eatwell Guide from Public Health England to explain the importance of achieving a healthy diet through a balance of the four main food groups. It shows how much young children should eat by giving examples of portion sizes for meals and packed lunches. The course contains a range of helpful tips and tricks for providing healthy food at mealtimes and for lunch boxes.
New course - Providing a Healthy Food Environment in Early Years Settings - £29.50 excl VAT - 3 CPD Credits
Pre-school Learning Alliance members can access the course for free as part of their membership package.
