EduCare Advent Care-ndar – Day nineteen

On 6th December the Charity Commission published its updated strategy for dealing with safeguarding issues in charities.

A key strategic aim of the Charity Commission is to ensure that trustees carry out their duties as required by law. This includes trustees “taking reasonable steps to protect their beneficiaries, and others who come into contact with their charity, from harm”.

On day 19 of our Advent Care-ndar we are giving away ten free copies of our new Child Protection Essentials course to the charity of your choice when it becomes live in the new year.

The new course gives essential child protection information to people who work with children on a limited or volunteer basis, so that they are aware of the issues and know how to share information if they have concerns about a child or a colleague, or if a child confides abuse to them.
