World First Aid Day 2017

World First Aid Day 2017

The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) introduced World First Aid Day in 2000. Each year, more than 100 Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies around the world organise events and ceremonies to raise public awareness of how first aid can save lives in everyday crisis situations.

First aid in the workplace

You are most likely to perform first aid on someone you know. For most full-time employees, who spend on average eight hours a day in the company of their work colleagues, there is a high chance that you will use first aid on a workmate. However, once acquired, first aid knowledge is something that you carry with you at all times, at home and at leisure.

By equipping your staff with skills that could possibly save a life, you are not only investing in a safe and healthy workforce, but are also contributing to a local community that is able to react to emergency situations.

Free copies of EduCare's First Aid Essentials online training course

World First Aid Day is the perfect opportunity to organise a training event for your workplace - we are offering 10 free copies of our online training course to help you do so.

First Aid Essentials, produced with West Midlands Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust, aims to give the confidence needed to react in an incident when someone urgently needs help.

The course provides 3 hours of CPD and normally costs £26 when purchased individually. We are giving 1 free copy to the first 10 people who complete our enquiry form below.
