The revised statutory guidance, Keeping Children Safe in Education, came into force from 5th September. The guidance stipulates that “all staff members should receive appropriate safeguarding and child protection training which is regularly updated.”
The multi-Agency Guidance on Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) was published on 1st April 2016. The guidance should be read and followed by all persons and bodies in England and Wales who are under statutory duties to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and vulnerable adults.
