Five facts about concussion
Following the news that Liverpool's goalkeeper suffered from concussion during the Champion's League Final, we are sharing this content from our partners at Return2Play from an infographic they created that reveals the headline numbers around concussion.

Nine Per Cent
The total concussion rates among Return2Play's customer schools is 9%. In a school of 500 pupils, teachers and support staff saw an average of 45 cases of concussion in the Winter Term of 2018.
Fourteen Years Old
14-year-olds had the highest rate of concussion in the Winter Term of 2018 in the schools who are signed up to use Return2Play's injury management system.
Eighty percent
From the statistics gathered by Return2Play, Rugby accounted for 80% of sporting concussions.
One in Five
Of the concussions sustained while playing rugby, 1in5 occurred during training.
Twenty percent
Return2Play's MI shows that 20% of players had symptoms which persisted for longer than two weeks after their injury, or that came back during their Graduated Return To Play (GRTP), delaying their return to sport.
